I was able to get a retainment rep to give me $10 off for the next 6 month because I complained about the cost and lack of packaging options such as HD only. I am seriously looking at changing to dish after my contract expires because they have the HD only package and it is significantly cheaper. If I can get the ESPNs, Bigtennetwork, Disney USA and the Turner networks with my locals in HD I will be happy since I really don't watch that much TV. The almost $83 I am currently paying to get those things in HD with a DVR is a little rediculous.

I have had directv since 1996 and will have difficulty changing but I think the costs are starting to get a litttle excessive. On the other hand I love the service itself.
