Just speculating, but that looks like it will only update your firmware if you're already on a min rev level. In the 1st list, if your receiver has s/w L3.63, it won't get L4.01.

The 2nd list looks like it goes to current beta testers. They weren't running L3.66, but were instead running "ABA1" through "BHQ1" (Dish internal rev #s).

If you didn't get the e-mail, check your spam folder. Otherwise, you're out of luck. The people who rec'd L4.01 last night are exceptions. The majority of people who signed up through DBSTalk are supposed to get it tonight.

Not that way; L040-L400 is a range of targetting version, what combined with other range(s) by OR statement.

I got it on one of my 622's.

The other is the one I asked Mark to give to E* so I expect it tonite.

I like it so far, but did send some (minor) bitches to E*.

LER

LER, correct me if I'm wront, but the things you sent to E* were preferences not bugs right? I'm just trying to get a feel for actual bugs. So far, I haven't seen much reported.

I got 4.01 last night, and so far I enjoy having the HD mapdown...with one complaint. It maps down Discovery HD, FoodHD and HGHD, which do not have the same schedule as their SD counterparts. I would love to see them reassign all of the remaining HD channels, including Food and HG, to channel assignments right in with the rest of the channels. The "All HD" list would work for those who just want to see HD, and for everyone else they are right there in the general location where their topical area is.

Had just enough time to confirm I got the download. Tested the side by side PIP. One side is slightly larger than the other , similar to the way my Sony TV handles PIP internally.

Didn't get the dreaded corrupted hard drive notice, will play with it more tonight....

The size of the PIP window depends on the source. HD content is show in a 16x9 type of window and SD content is shown in a taller 4x3 window. I think that is what you are seeing Bob.
