Hi everyone I've been pulling my hair out (what's left of it) trying to get tv2 to work as it has in the past. In a nutshell we've had new carpet installed and and some extensive painting done in the house. The main television/622 works fine but the problem is I can't get tv2 to work in the back of the house. Nothing was disconnected from TV2. I contacted tech support last night and we went through the steps of setting up the modular settings. We went through this several times. The final suggestion from Dish was to send a service tech out at a $95 dollar charge for starters. I said that's ridiculous. I informed several customer service and tech support reps that this particular problem had occurred before but was fixed in the various sub-menus of the Dish receiver software. I was so frustrated I emailed Charlie begging for assistance. Any suggestions? :(

I'd start by grabbing a short piece of coax and bring the TV2 to the same room as the 622, hook it up and see if you have a problem with the coax leading back to the back of the house. Then you can at least narrow the problem to the 622 or the existing coax and connections.

Sounds like a connector got knocked loose or cable crimped during all the work. Start at the coax wall plate if you have one.
