I just had to replace a 722 receiver with a reman from Dish, due to failed power supply.
The problem is that my external hard drive keeps "disappearing".
The 722 recognizes it when the unit if first plugged in, then a few hours later it no longer shows up on the DVR menu and the light on the hard drive is continuously blinking.
I have repeated this cycle several times, but the 722 always ends up not recognizing that the EHD is still connected. I am using the front USB port, BTW, since a Sling unit is using the one on the back.
Any suggestions for fixing this problem would be most appreciated.
