Hi

Can anyone confirm if 77w echostar 8 is working in Minnesota or Northern Ontario. I cannot seem to pick it up. I am wanting to tune using the coolsat but actually test using DVB PCI Card. Since this is mpeg4 the only IRD that will work for me is the pci card.

Iceberg: any thoughts? I know you are close by.

The Coolsat will still log the transponder signal just fine.
77W is working fine here in MN...its part of Eastern Arc and there havent been any threads about it not working

Looks like duluth -> north is out of the footprint

you cant get any signal on it?

that satellite use to be at 110 which was conus so unless the footprint really hosed up you might get it

Best guess for Silver Bay area ( half way up the north shore) would be something like a 4-6 foot diameter antenna (~40 dBw). It really drops off fast
