811 and menu..

Sorry if this has been covered before. I did a search and didn't find anything. I have an 811 connected to my 16x9 HDTV via component cables. Everything is fine except the guide and all menus have black bars on the side..they don't fill the screen. Is this normal or something I can change? I do have 16x9 selected in the configuration menu.

Normal for now. I think that's corrected in firmware version P2.87, which is slowly being rolled out to the 811's.

Nope, still not fixed! Perhaps a little better in the menu's, however, the EPG is still the same.

Is the 942 the only Dish box that can utilize a full 16:9 screen? I have a 6000 and it's a terrible waste of real estate to see only 1 1/2 hours of EPG on the screen.

The 921 EPG fills the 16:9 screen but is still limited to 1-1/2 hours wide.

That's a bummer, they could fill another hour of material in that extra space.
