it's been like 3 days since I last saw anything on this bird, not even the AMC16 Id channel, has it been like these for everyone else?

Sorry - yes, there is nothing........
About 3/4 of the transponders on AMC 16 are in use 24/7. Echostar's VIP IPTV service is there, but they use DVB-S2.
Lot more happening there than meets the eye (and my little old CS6000 DVB-S scanner).
