Does anybody have any info as far as getting the a la carte subscription for ford add-on units? Basically it's the legit ford tuner added onto a 2011 mustang to use the factory radio controls. I asked Sirius and they said no OEM units can do it, but add-on's can... so mine is kind of in the middle? I want to give them my radio ID to see what it comes up as but I don't want them messing with the 6 month trial period i get.

I think they have only released a couple radios that do ala carte.
Here are a couple I found:
Sirius Stratus 6 with PowerConnect Vehicle Kit SDSV6V1
Sirius Starmate 5 with PowerConnect Vehicle Kit SDST5V1
Not sure it is worth it unless you want only music on the $6.99 for 50 plan. If you want sports or any premium content you will be around the normal $12 monthly anyway.l

The tuner you got is considered a factory unit. It does not matter if you installed it or if it was installed by the dealer at your request or as a dealer option. If ala carte is available, you would need to get an after market unit.
