After almost 29 years with Dish, I was a first year customer, the trees in my yard finally made satellite reception impossible. I pulled the plug on May 1. I bought a Tablo 4th generation 4 Tuner OTA DVR. It's not as refined as the H3 but so far it's acceptable. I also subscribed to Disney+,Hulu and Espn+ bundle and Peacock both are basic with ads. Cost for both is $26.98/ month compared to $104 with Dish. The Tablo was a one time cost of 150.10 including tax from Amazon. I already had a OTA antenna that I used with the Dish OTA turner. If anyone is looking for one let me know and we will work out a deal. I'll still be here on Satguys because it's a great site.

I hope your Tablo worked better than mine. After three days of missed or unwatchable recordings, I pulled the plug on it, rather than Dish.
So far I have had no missed , no unwatchable recordings. Did you have the subscription guide? This one included a free two week guide. The UI is a bit clunky and guide navigation needs improvement but it works once you learn some of the mechanics.

I have the 4 tuner Tablo Next gen dvr and it has worked great. I use it to back up my recordings from the Air tv device I use with Sling Tv. I like the interface but don't really use the extra channels that they have you can record from. The other day the Air tv missed a recording for my wife's soap and the Tablo had it all there with no problems. The Tablo has been more reliable then the Air Tv device.
