I loathe roku tv's
Roku tv is fine so long you got standalone box, if built in to tv god help you, with TV software updates that break things, forget most tv barely have HW to make interface run smoothly.

the interface on my TCL tv that is roku is so damn slow now after multiple software updates and multiple, almost none the apps it can run run smoothing anymore they are lagging at best and worst some images dont even load forget about tv functions getting randomly broke cause of those software updates.

I just had freak software update that fix bug was there for 3 months, and rather bad one where tv stop accepting command from the remote and even tv own buttons random. till the tv was rebooted or in the later case even tv buttons didnt work, you had to pull plug for few minutes. when this was issue it happens once week ( wifi connection threw roku app worked fine when this happen though, since last software update this been fixed now been 2 months this bug was thing.

But that's what a Roku TV is- built-in Roku. Are you saying that if you really want Roku, you should do a Roku box instead of built in to TV? And maybe that a Roku TV is OK as long as you would leave it on a direct input from a separate Roku box or other source?

I personally prefer a Roku box for our personal use because I can take it with us when we go out of town. When we get to the house we are staying at, all I have to do is connect it to the TV and internet and we can watch what we want without having to sign in to various accts.

When it comes to Roku TVs, while I like the two I own, I HAVE seen the issue Tsunami mentions at some customers houses. Sometimes it can be due to weak wifi which we take care of by adding a mesh unit.

Now I'll say up front that I am the ONLY Dish retailer anywhere in our area. I'm located in the panhandle of FL. Sales had slowed to a virtual halt the past couple of years....doing one or two a month vs in the past when 20-30 was the norm. Anyway, the past couple of weeks we've seen a surge, well, a surge for me anyway. Mostly it seems to be DTV customers who are very unhappy. Obviously DTV has gotten even harder to deal with which is an astounding concept to think about.
Im one. Used to be a Dish customer years ago. Got sick of the constant decision fatigue and Dish has some good deals right now, went for it.
Been a cord cutter since 2009 and it gets old real fast. Plus in YouTube all of the creators make to the algo so its constantly 20 minutes of the same thing over and over.

Are they very many Dish customers leaving because of the bankruptcy issue?

Basically, the creators know how the algorithm works and manipulate/manage it so that you end up with the same stuff in your suggestions day in and day out. At least that has been my experience.
About once a week, I go through my recommendations and block all those AI and brain rot channels. It makes your suggestions much more relevant
