Overshadowed by the new stadium celebration, is the matchup of the last two AL CY winners: Sabathia vs. Lee.

Wow, I can just imagine what a scalper got for a ticket today!

Also, the most prized offseason acquisition pitches against his former team that has raised him since a wee-pup for the first time.

* First extra-base hit in new Yankee Stadium: Ben Francisco (CLE)

PS, I'm sure you've noticed by now I'm giving you all a real-time account for all the "firsts" today in the new digs in the Bronx. Hope you don't mind. This may be useful for trivia years from now, so pay attention.

BTW HD,
I'm not sure if you realize it, but former Indian, Jody Gerut got the first hit AND homerun in the new Citi Field the other night for the Padres.

Gerut hit the third pitch of the game into the right field seats.

Victor Martinez gets in on the act with a solo homer.

Nine run seventh for the Tribe gives them a 10-1 lead.

What I thought might be the Yankees Achilles heel, middle relief, is rearing it's ugly head!

Sorry fellas. I had to go to the local establishment and be in company with my fellow Tribe fans to witness this game. A few updates...

* First Home run in Yankee Stadium: Jorge Posada

* First Grand Slam in Yankee Stadium: Grady Sizemore

* First Win in Yankee Stadium: Cliff Lee
