I was reading in the other thread that we have the early design remotes without the alphanumeric keys. Without trying to continually make errors what keys correspond to what letters?

I ended up just correcting everything with the channel editor for now.

Most likely they would be the same as printed on any phone ever manufactured, and, I believe your Dish ViP211 remote.

I'm hoping the new remote will show up at SlingBox also :)

1=.,*?!@
2=abc
3=def
4=ghi
5=jkl
6=mno
7=pqrs
8=tuv
9=wxyz
0=(space) _ - 0

Just go to the "name new sat" window and try all of them yourself. I used a fine point Sharpie marker and hand wrote them above each key.

also on each number after the letters is the number too

so as example if you press the 2 button that is a,b,c,2

Turns out the channel up and channel down (along with some others) are the same infrared code as my Toshiba TV. Kept wondering why when I went back to the satellite from using the TV it was on a different channel! Good thing there are only two TV channels here.
