Anik f1.
Stats: 10ft mesh, titanium positioner, linkbox

I am having a lot of trouble with a lot of birds. Guess they must be moving everything
for the fall season.
EX: Anik f1 no longer has any "CW" on it. Where can I find the CW now??????
I am on the east coast and can get 55.5w to 125w.
Will gladly supply any other info needed.
Thanks for any help

CW is in 4:2:2/h.264 format. Need a pccard to watch on the computer. Locations are g19 97 w 4100 h 29860 feed 4 and feed 4 on g28 89 w 3880 v 29860

Thanks Mike for replying.
I'm afraid I didn't get anywhere following your instructions.
Galaxy 19 has about 6 strong transponders and I could not find the CW
on any of them. Your Instructions 97W V? or H? 4100 h 29860.

The linkbox did not have anything programmed for Galaxy 89w H? 3880 V 29860.
I can add that but it asks for a longitude for this bird. I have no idea what
that is.

yes only during primetime. the 24/7 channels are on g17 91w encrypted.

Maybe I am wrong or not skilled enough with the big dish but I feel that
there is getting less and less to watch on C-band. Since I don't speak
Spanish they are of no value to me.

I love the ARROW program and I guess that will disappear also:(

shanklej,

You've got to remember there is nothing on C or Ku band that is permanent.
Yes, there are many programs in Spanish and other languages for that matter on C and Ku, but there is still enough programming in English to keep me interested. If you only knew how much was available for free, when I first started with my BUD in 1991, that is no longer there, you'd probably cry. ;)

It's the nature of the hobby. If you want guaranteed programming then you have to get a pizza dish and pay the fee. The vast majority of the feeds on C/Ku are not meant for us. Most are meant for radio stations and TV stations along with special events. The fact that not everything is encrypted is a plus. Channels come and channels go and probably always will until the day comes where technology is at the point where satellites are no longer needed to get content out. Lot's of stuff has gone to fiber of course but thankfully there are still radio/tv stations out in the hinterlands that don't have fiber or a quick enough stream and there is almost always a backup satellite feed anyway in case of outages. There are fewer and fewer FTA hobbyists and especially on C-band that we probably are not seen as big of a threat as once the big dishes were considered. That does bode well for us.
