I have been using the keyboard all day today. I have had no trouble typing on it at all.

Two more reasons why you should jailbreak you iPhone.

1) They dented the Sirius XM Radio listening application uSirius Starplayer last night. This app would have let people listen to Sirius XM on their iPhones.

2) They are removing applications which they have already approved because they have emoticons. These programs do not violate any of Apples guidelines and again were already permitted for sale by Apple.

I was at a comedy club last night. I was amazed at how many people were playing with their iPhones while waiting. Didn't see anyone using any other kind of phone.

Serious question folks: My wife is due for a new phone and we've been debating getting the iPhone for her. Asside from everything else the iPhone does, I've heard the one major drawback is the cellular service of AT&T, the quality of calls and their unusually SLOW Edge Network. Is it really THAT bad? I mean, it is still a phone and calling people should still be the primary function. Honestly, how is AT&T's cell service? Is it that bad we should look into a Palm Pre with Sprint?

We just got iPhones for my wife and I. In my area ATT is pretty good. This is probably because they took over PacBell and Cingular which already had a strong hold here and the best coverage in my region. I guess it depends on were you are at?

There have been times when surfing the net over 3G has been faster than some of the WiFi connections I have used.

Well, I can't get the 5 row keyboard to work.

I loaded IKeyEx, and the keyboard. The iKeyEx setting say it is supposed to be using the 5-row keyboard.

I Resprung, and rebooted even, still std 4 row kb.

What am I missing?

Are you using the 3.0 software? If so, I do not think this works for this version yet.

It just depends on where you are. In my area AT&T and Verizon have the best coverage, Sprint is terrible. AT&T 3G is very fast here too so it works well for me.

I've got the iPhone here in Cleveland. No problems. The 3G coverage seems pretty good to me.

Just ran a speed test here in downtown with 593kbps down, 312 kbps up. However, I've had 3G test running from 110 - 963 down and 98-318 up.

I had a lot more trouble around town when I was with Sprint. Haven't really used Verizon, so I won't comment.

I've had no issues with my iPhone or its connection. It works everywhere I've gone since I acquired it.

Been calling a relative lots recently who got an iphone and the one oddity I see/hear is intermittent speech. When he talks, I lose about every 5th to 6th word. Sounds like an intermittent connection on the microphone in his iphone. Been like this since it was new, though. His internet speed has been adequate for the little stuff he does like e-mail or download weather reports.
