Well, I got an email today said its on its way !

That's cool! I never got my email saying it was on its way. Are you going to see how the indoor antenna it comes with works? Its a Winegard one. Or get another one?
I'll use the Outdoor one ...
Just wish it worked on the other recvrs as well.

There's no such thing as an antenna that goes that far, it is physically impossible. Sure, in certain atmospheric conditions you can get long range reception (I remember seeing a channel from New Orleans in Iowa when I was a kid once) but as far as something you can count on even 9 times out of 10, 100 miles is just not possible. Promising 200 miles with antenna is the equivalent of those ads from the 70s that promised 200 mpg with the "secret carburetor Exxon is trying to make illegal".

the blackout has now reached the 2 weeks mark and no new information from any sources of continuous negotiations, i think it's safe to say the negotiations are at a pause for the holidays maybe and i think we are dealing with the possibility that this dispute will be resolved after the start of the new year as in no TEGNA stations on DirecTV during the rest of this month and the holiday season.

and besides, the topic of the dispute has been fading away from the thread the longer it goes.

Let's see how it goes around when the Super Bowl comes around for Nexstar (Dish) and Tegna (DTV)

Directv didn't want to give me an adapter, they told me to buy one on amazon, do I need a ota usb adapter. I have an outdoor antenna so just need to be able to hook to the genie.

The ones on Amazon will not work with Directv receivers. Geez. Directv CSR’s don’t know a damn thing.
