antenna install

we have an outdoor antenna. will the dish tech install it when installing the dish?? and if so do i try calling the rep back that we spoke to and telling him that we want an antenna installed as well. and if so whats the fee??? we just need the cable and a hole drilled

Ask the tech with a smile and an offer to buy lunch. It worked for me. I already had the cable so he attached the mount to the brick wall. I used an arm from an unused sat dish. I just attached the antenna and cable.

The tech is not going to install your antenna unless its on a work order, and I don't believe there is an option to have a Dish tech install a customer owned antenna.

I think you could buy an antenna through dish, and then they would install it when they install your Dish.

If you called a local dealer, they could likely accommodate you, especially if they are getting a new account from you at the same time.

You could try to pay the tech to install it once he shows up, its going to be hit or miss as some techs will not do side work because if you have issues with the antenna and you call customer service, the tech could get in trouble since he didn't put the extra work he performed on a work order.

we went through dish directly. i got it all figured out took the dtv dish off the pole used the RG6 cable from the dish. ran it into the usb dongle!!! works awesome... we bought the winegard elite 360 pro antenna. i would never call support and complain but i get it some people would!!!

Yeah! That works, and best of all the wire and install is practically done for you already
