Antenna update

I got an email from dish this week about my tailgate system. It says I need to update the software for the antenna, not the receiver. I haven't found any details about what the update itself does? I'm curious if anybody has info.

I got an email from dish this week about my tailgate system. It says I need to update the software for the antenna, not the receiver. I haven't found any details about what the update itself does? I'm curious if anybody has info.

I got the email too and have also not found any info on what is updated. Reading between the lines, it sounds like it could be an issue if the update is not done. I would assume that could mean the update needs to be completed before some future change, or it may not be able to connect to update.

I went ahead and did the update. I don't notice anything different, but it is done.
