Any good cable like tuners?

As the thread title says, I'm looking for a cable style receiver with a good epg and if possible recording but it isn't required (if anyone knows of like a cable box that has a atsc tuner than that's best) also yes I'm aware of TiVos

Not really what I'm looking for as it does not directly plug into a tv, I was looking into the zapperbox and I'd like to get one but I can't find any on eBay and it seems that they require some kind of subscription to get a epg and to record
