All I know is this:
I live in the "Houston" area and am currently a HD customer. In January of 2005, A CSR told me that I would have my local networks in HD by July of 2005, blah.

A couple of days ago a CSR "guaranteed" me that I would have my local networks in HD by January of 2006, I'll believe it when it happens.

Both of these CSR's were level 2 support at Hi-Def eligibility.

5 mins worth of reading would have killed that idea the birds were just sched to go up. The end of the year (by 01/06 is realistic)

I'm in the Boston area, and I called to put in a waiver request for Fox. The rep told me that we would have HD locals by December 1 2005, and a waiver request wouldn't be ready until that time at the earliest. He suggested just waiting for HD locals, I opted to move forward with the waiver request anyway.

I have requested waivers twice while Ive been with D*...

The first time it took about 3 weeks, the 2nd time it took about 4 weeks...

I doubt Boston LIL will be ready by December 2005 either..

To me its just ridiculous that these CSR's are allowed to feed customers total nonsense day in, and day out..

I personally dont believe anything that a CSR says...Not to mention the HD specialists, retention specialists, supervisors, tech support, or the install department either.. You cant believe a damn thing anyone says at D*..

Hang up and call back, and youll get a completely different answer from someone in the same department..
