I found a reciever on craigslist but it's only listed as a "digital satellite system"
Does anybody know what models it could be? Could i even find an original DishPlayer in those things?

That's no receiver. Maybe an LNB bracket or some other mounting hardware,

On the left side of the box it says...........

MPEG2 Digital Satellite Receiver
18" Dish Assembly
Universal Remote Control

????/Microwave Amplifier

What does it say above that? These items also needed? Package includes?

I mean i think they're still a bit neat to have (even if it's just a paperweight)
It's small enough to be an old 301/311
So it could be a 301, tho i've seen 2700s and 4700s packed with this box. And a listing for a Dishplayer 7100/7200 shows a different box so i'm quite confident it isn't a Dish with WebTV

That box looks like the one that I got with my original 2000 receiver back in 1996. It came with a Dish 300 in the box along with the 2000 Receiver. Plus, I paid the up-front Annual price for Americas Top 60 (or something like that), all for under $700.

And, back then, it probably really was America's Top 60 channels.

iirc, the 301 was never packaged with a dish and it would have been the 500 by that point. I am going to guess this is a box for a 2000/3000/4000/3700/4700.

I don't think the 1000 or 2700 were ever packaged with a dish, they were intended to be sold as additional receivers.

The 1000 definitely was sold with a dish, that was my very first DISH receiver.
