I'm looking forward to the upcoming update to the Apple TV hardware as I'm waiting for it before purchasing one to maybe replace our Roku Ultra.

New Apple TV 4K launch and more might be imminent per store inventory

After reading articles like these over the years I always feel as if I am Charlie Brown getting ready to kick the football that Lucy is holding.

something tells me they're going to rebrand/introduce a new streaming box, but they should have done that BEFORE or at the same time as rebranding the service
No new ATV today with the announcements of the M5 MacBook Pro, iPad, and Vision Pro.

Why would you want to replace your Roku Ultra? I have no problems with mine (assuming it is not responsible for the slow handshaking).
Ours gives an HDCP handshake error screen every now and then. I've already replaced all of the HDMI cables in my setup and even removed the soundbar just for testing and it still at least once or twice a week requires a complete reboot of the TV and Roku in order to work. This is the second Roku Ultra we've had in our living room in the last few years. This one replaced one that was very slow.

Hmmm. Maybe I ought to temporarily replace it with my Firestick, to see if it's the Roku U or the HTAVR that's delaying handshaking. Or that damned butterfly in Brazil!

Did you try them on a different HDMI port or a different TV?

I just ran a test leaving out the Roku Ultra. Just TV, HTAVR and H3. Same delays. Not worth replacing anything.
