It will really help with search. It is a pain to type with the tiny remote

You bet. I was just surprised that it wasn't actually announced anywhere, or at least I didn't see it.

I will probably continue to pull out my iPhone or iPad to type on the Apple TV. Having a keyboard lying around in addition is just not going to be worth it considering how often I have to type. The remote app from Apple is clunky to use, but you can type with it.
