ATSC 3.0 Simulcast Discussion

    Nobody outside of DIRECTV and maybe ESPN has promised mass quantities of 4K content. While Next Gen TV addresses it, the proponents have been pushing other features much harder now that they've been put into a corner by the repack.
    4K hasn't arrived yet and 8K is just stupid unless you're maybe within arms length of a 65" or greater screen. Just because NHK devised a way of broadcasting HD in analog doesn't insure that it simply had to catch on as a widely-adopted technology.

    NHK's 8K content is/was "broadcast" via satellite!

    Lakeshore PBS Returns to the Airwaves
    WYIN Channel 56 Gary IN PBS was knocked off the air for along time because of the weather for numerous things here is the article the new transmitter they are putting up will be ATSC 3.0 they are running at low power right now getting they finally got back on the air today.
