ATV Activation

Just wondering as I have never done this before but...we recently purchased 2 new HD Rcvrs on our Acct and brought them to our summer home.....can activation of the recvs occur in a different location than our home addy or will activating them "on the road" cause us unnecessary aggravation with DTV? I guess what I am asking is...will they know we are activating in an area other than our account address?

As long as you have all your account info handy (SSN, current address, etc.) & you don't tell them, won't make a diff...I've activated many receivers at MY place, on clients accounts with no problems.

i think the general policy is that so long as you're not viewing TV at both locations at the same time, they dont really care. is this 2nd location already set up for the recievers?

Dish is up....and was going to activate them today. They can actually tell if you are watching at two different locations??

As long as you don't hook up a phone line or internet there...NO, NO

I didn't say that...I meant don't connect the receiver(s) themselves to the internet (or phone line)
If you can activate them online, go for it.
