Audio dropouts/picture problems

I'm a newbie to satellite- having suffered with TIme Warner cable for some time. There are a few problems I'm experiencing. I have a r16-500 receiver which is fine and a HR21-100 which gives me some sporadic problems with 1 second audio dropouts on various HD channels and minor picture breakups on starz channels 518-518-520. All the problems are only on HD channels. I would like to know if the majority of viewers have occasional audio and picture problems or are there a " chosen few" who always get clear audio and video. I'm trying to get a "feel" if I should resign myself to the fact that at any given time, there will never be 100% perfection on all channels. Any insights would surely help!

Have you checked you signal strengths on the HR21?
