My HDTV regurgitates SD; so, I structure my various subscriptions from Comcast and Dish to maximize HD and minimize SD.
That said, Dish wants about $37 per month just for the new HD package without locals plus fees. Dish has not offered an "ownership" deal for people like me who own an 811.
So, I am saving $16 per month and the step up cost to acquire a beta 211.
Now, if Dish allowed my 811 to receive the new HD channels for a period of time until plenty of "working" 211s were available, then I might be forced to part with the extra $16.
Oh well. At this point, I might hold onto the old HD Pak until Dish figures out its Voom fiber problem.
