Most games televised on MLB network have a back up game. With Direct TV, can you have both games televised? Are they showing the backup game somewhere in addition to the main game?

I am getting the alternate game only on 214/214-1 because my local team is playing on 213. There have been times in the past I have been able to see both games

Interstingly enough, I HAVE the Rangers / Mariners on the ALT channel 214.1, but the main channel 213. is blacked out and it's NOT a local team playing.

I was blacked out, too. None of the teams playing was local to me.

I think you are supposed to get one or the other. I think it is like whichever game MLBNet is showing on cable in your area is the one you would get, all zip code based. ESPN used to do this more, thus the alternates, but now those are mostly just used for college games that area mirrored between ESPN/ABC depending on market.

You only get one game. The only way to see both is through Extra Innings and that wouldn't open up the blacked out MLB Channel feed.
