Bad Receiver?

I switched to direct about two months ago. When i turn on tv,sometimes it works fine,and sometimes i get a blank white screen or the direct logo. I called and explained problem and got a new card,but still have same problem. Before i call again,anything suggestions on fixing problem. HD non dvr receiver. If i pull card or do reset it works fine.

Which model number do you have? Any others in the setup?

Are you actually turning the receiver OFF as well or leaving it on?
Try leaving it ON all the time & see if things don't work better - there really is NO need to turn them off anyway. (they actually STILL stay on internally regardless & it's not saving you electricity)

I have hr 24/500 dvr- h24/700 hd-sd model d12. I never turn off. Unit is saying now it can't access card,which is same thing it did before i changed cards.

It sounds like the receiver is bad. If you call Directv about it and they agree it's toast, make sure they don't change your commitment date. Replacing defective leased equipment doesn't extend your commitment in any way.
