'Battlestar Galactica': Edward James Olmos will direct Cylon-centric special feature
Months before its final 10 episodes begin airing in January, we now know for certain that "Battlestar Galactica" will live on -- in the form of a two-hour special on the Sci Fi Channel to air in 2009 after the series concludes.

It would be cool to have a mini series/movie from the cylon point of view leading up to the attack. See why they decided to attack, watch them send out operatives to compromise the defense systems, etc. And, have it end with the nuking of the colonies.
Either its that or maybe they have in mind that humans and cylons will part ways at the end of the series and this special would be what the cylons did next. Thats assuming they dont come up with some off the wall ending and such a special would become moot.
I saw an interview with Katee at Comicon, saying they were planning one or two BSG "Razor-type" specials, but she would not be in them.

Is it just me or does the UHD Version look better than the Scifi versions... I sampled He That Believeth on my 73" Screen from dish and later on my 99" screen from direct and could swear that they were brighter and maybe sharper...
Not an illusion...I'm seeing the same thing on my 50" screen. It's not something that jumps right out and grabs you, but UHD's version does appear a little brighter and sharper to me as well...
Are we really surprised? When has Sci Fi HD ever had stellarPQ. Watched some ST:TNG upconverts this morning, and it was horrible.
I did a test with two copies of The Terminator; recorded it on one DVR the other day on one of the MAX channels, and last night on MGM. Haven't played them both on the same tv; want to see if there is any difference.

Stargate from UHD is much better than the Encore version I recorded the other day... was about to erase the UHD version and compared... going to chuck the Encore version...
Same here...I kept the UHD broadcast of Stargate and didn't even bother recording the Encore showing, though I did watch some of it.
Watched most of the Olympics on UHD and the PQ was far better than USA or CNBC...

The difference to me on Stargate was like comparing Dvd and Satellite HD... now to resave all the BSG's from UHD...
