Can you watch this on the Dish Anywhere app? I have tried to find it, but when I search, nothing comes up in the app.

I see that it is BBC World News America as opposed to BBC World News. America is a 1/2 hour program daily. This isn't what everyone thinks it is....

There's two listed, there's the program that airs on PBS, then BBC World News the channel. It has an N beside it.

BBC World News is distributed by Discovery Networks here in the USA. So, it will cost Dish $$$$ to get it. However, if Discovery wishes to use its leverage in the next negotiations, maybe we might see BBC World News on Dish.

As good as BBC World News is, I have to say the retirement of good ol' Paxo (Jeremy Paxman) from Newsnight and the BBC leaves a really big hole at World Service. Jeremy has appeared a few times since, but not as a permanent presence. Still, I would love and watch BBC World News if on Dish. I have viewed it on DishAnywhere thanks to the OP. Hope we see it on the sat, but since things are all going apps and streaming, it may be the only way we get new channels in the future.

BBC WORLD NEWS is distributed by the same company that distributes BBC America, which is AMC Networks. Dish is the last big cablesat company that doesn't carry BBC News, so they must have signed a contract recently.

Just a few more day until the shut down of Al Jazeera America.

Lots of rumors out there of what Dish will do to the channel.

My guess is they will do nothing for a few weeks then add a new News channel in May. Hopefully one they like already.

They seeom to already like BBC News as they stream it if you have the top 200

Dish and DIRT I hope you read these. People want more NEWS options not less so we can decide what to watch.

It doesn't shut down until April 30.

If anyone thinks that Dish isn't already paying BBC for the World News Channel, you are mistaken. BBC World News doesn't allow anyone to stream its feed on cable , internet, or satellite without being paid $$$.

They just don't send it via satellite and have no plans to do so

How do you know? With the impending demise of Aljazeera America, that could be a likely replacement, especially since they are streaming it, and they pay for it anyway.

Well, they may not, but you are not in a position (nor am I) to definitively say that they will or will not add a channel. Last week, at this time many would have said the same thing about full time HD RSNs.
