Still a stinking rotten bee that will sting you if they get the chance. Can't count the number of times without ANY reason for them to do so, they search for me and "ZAP" and fly away and die.

I removed a nest from a LNB last night and as soon as I did a yellow jacket returned and was flying around looking for it. I tried spraying it, but then wondered if the spray would do any damage to the paint on the LNB or the dish, so I sprayed it down with the hose afterwards.

I wish the LNB covers were designed better to stay on, eliminating this problem.

Maybe remove the cap and cure a few small dabs of silicone caulk around the edge of the cap where it contacts the feedhorn, then reinsert?

The extra friction should hold in place.

Over the years I have used everything from a rubber bands to tape. The dabs of silicone caulk works best.
