Just thought I'd share my before and after results here. Thanks to TonyT at DIRT for getting me the 1K5 mod.

Mod is using DISH 500+ mount and Arm from EA dish. The 500+ dish is larger than the EA dish. (my zip 03240) The mod took approx 20min and in talking with the tech (sub-contractor) he mentioned he did alot of these mods in Illinois and I was the first one he's installed in NH I think the gain was noticeable let me know what you folks think. Hope the extra signal will slowdown the premature rain/snow fade. One interesting side note the tech mentioned they have been getting alot of complaints about low signal strength problem since upgrading to EA from 110/119/61.5

Thanks for the info! On an everyday basis there is no problem, but just as you point out, rain fade happens a little more often, and lasts just a little longer on my EA sats then on my WA ones. Do you actually need 77? Would you get a little more if you ignored 77 and get the best signal on 61.5 then 72?

I asked the tech which bird was he aligning with and he told me 61.5. As far as 77 is concerned there is nothing there for me but I'll take whatever I can get across the board. :)

Glad it got handled with no hiccups. Now we just wait to see if it works better during the usually problematic times.

I guess the notes work when putting them on a work order, BTW. I thought there might be an issue, but I am happily wrong.
