I have a cottage in Prince Edward Island and subscribe to Bell TV. I bring my receivers to my home in CT. I installed a Dish 500 as I have a 9242 HD receiver my signal strength on 91 degree satellite and 82 were very good "80" on 91 and "70" on 82. The town I live in is Torrington. I recently moved within Torrington from high on a hill to a more residential location in a bit of a valley.

I can get 91 with a "80" signal strength but I can not locate 82 at all. My question is do I need a larger Dish?

For my Dish Network receivers I had to get an Eastern Arc Dish. I was told by the installer he could not "see" the 61.5 satellite. I had temporarily installed a Dish 500 for 110 119. This did not make sense to me as the Eastern Arc uses 77 72.7 and 61.5 satellites but he said I would get a better signal so I agreed. Unfortunately I have 2 522's and 625 receivers that can not be used with the Eastern Arc Dish. I have a 722 and 722k for now.

Does anyone know of an installer in CT that could help me?

Dish 100.2 foe belTv (expressVu)

I have a cottage in Prince Edward Island Canada and bring my Bell Satellite receivers back to the US. I recently moved a short distance in the same town, however I am having trouble getting the 82 Degree satellite for BellTV.

The Dish 1000.2 is for 110,119 and 129 (I would not need the 129 satellite so it would not matter if I did not use it). It is a larger dish than a Dish 500. Does it have a stronger signal on 110 and 119? Bell uses the Dish 500 since their equipment is made by Echo-star. They just aim the Dish and adjust the skew to "hit" their satellites.

My Bell receivers are a 9242 (similar to a Dish 722) and a 5900 (similar to a Dish 510. In other words will it work with the 5900 which is a legacy MPEG 2 receiver.

I did post in the Canadian Forum but I have not had any responses yet.

Make sure you cover the 129 LNB with foil when aiming. My guess is you are receiving 91 on the wrong LNB.

Bell in Torrington Connecticut

I have Dish Network and BellTv services. I own a cottage in Canada so I have a legitimate Bell account.

I recently moved within Torrington. I was living high on a hill I now am in a valley. I had installed my own Dishes E* at 110,119 and 61.5. Bell at 82 and 92 with a Dish 500.

I moved to a condo so I had to have Dishes pole mounted. They allow me two Dishes.

Dish changed my satellite to Eastern Arc with pole mounted Dish. I receive te 61.5, 72.7 and 77 satelites. I have Dish 500 for the Bell 82 and 91 satellites. This dish is also on a pole about two feet higher than the Eastern Arc Dish.

I get a strong 91 satellite but I can not locate the 82 satellite. Per Dish pointer.com I set the elavation at 39.8 and the skew at 101.2, my compass setting is at 213.6.

Is there a larger Dish 500 that would allow both 91 and 82 satellites for a stronger signal? If so where do I get one?

Does anyone know of a installer in Connecticut that will come to Torrington to set up a Bell dish?

Thank you.
