Why is BET Jazz not on Direct Tv?

I've never been asked why we don't carry it. I never knew it existed til a couple of days ago. Is it a Music Choice channel or a music video channel?

BET JAZZ is a music video channel from BET Networks.

I have seen the channel, and I admit that I am not a fan of jazz; however, anybody that is would LOVE this channel if it's still like it was when I watched. A GREAT variety with interviews, live concerts, and a lot more.

BET Jazz has been around for awhile. Back when I still had cable, I asked the cable company why they didnt carry it. They didnt know what I was talking about. I signed up with D* (although a jazz fan, that wasnt the reason I dropped cable). Same story. I later switched to *E and was told there currently didnt appear to be enough customer support for it, but they would "consider" it. They apparently never did. I no longer have satellite and have only limited-basic cable with Charter in Slidell, La. South of the lake, most of metro New Orleans has Cox Cable, which does offer BET Jazz.
