Is there a way for a layperson to try to dial in a better signal on 99(s) for a given transponder without messing with any other sats? Can the LNB itself be adjusted? How? Currently it gets mid 70's to low 80's depending on weather.

Thanks

The 99s satellite is only used for Spotbeams (hence 99s). If you get your HD local channels from that sat AND are having problems with them breaking up, then your dish will need to be realigned. If your local HD channels are fine, then don't worry about it.

That is a good signal for spot beams.

70's to low 80's is not a good signal for spot beams if they are pointed in your area. You should be able to get to the low 90's, at least.
