hello everyone good day. i wanted to know if 131 w is shutting down and if so are they going to launch a new one in the same position? what happens to the networks on that bird? thanks to all

Nothing on that bird FTA but QVC. Who's going to miss that? ;) I've not heard anything about AMC 11 falling from the sky. But if it did it would be replaced. You don't abandon a orbital position (131°W) because of equipment failure.

i thought it was running out of gas. it’s been up there for 15 16 years now. more then qvc. the weather channel and FNX i believe the PPV are fta sometimes too. they are not going to replace 139 or 135. does that mean they are gone forever too?

I remember when we could get Alaska locals on the east coast here. I miss the Matress Ranch and Worthington Ford commercials lol
139w is still in operation. Watch the Alaska stations occasionally on the West Coast spot beam.

AMC 10 and 11 are the primary cable distribution satellites for SES HD Prime. 131w hardware would likely be replaced rather than the slot vacated.

He's not asking about fta channels. You guys need to visit other forums and recognize names. Rick has same learning curve
