hi, does anyone know if a blue ray player that streams netflix can be used with satellite internet.

For Netflix, you need at least 1.5 to play a movie.

"To watch movies instantly via your PC or Netflix Ready device, we recommend a broadband connection providing at least 1.5 Mbps. The faster your connection, the better the quality. For DVD quality video and audio, you need a connection providing at least 3.0 Mbps."

thanks for the reply randalla.
this means if i get 1.6mbps plan, i can watch a netflix movie with no problem on my blu-ray player. is that correct.

thanks again

I don't think it will work constantly at the speed and the Hughesnet Fair Access Policy might prevent it at any speed.

I'd be interested to hear some first hand experiences though.
