Too bad you are pretty much the only member on this forum that is actually able to get this.


Plus, I really don't see much that they have that the other providers do not (at least nothing that interest me). Of course it doesn't matter anyway since that cable company does not exist anywhere near me. It is not like I could choose them as an option anyway

Well they have a lot of stuff that DirecTV can't even get ahold of. Blue Ridge is much smaller too, so they have less money to throw around with less of a footprint (less customers = less income). So who knows why all of the positive cash flow DirecTV always reports never goes into system investments, such as new HD.

Blue Ridge is a nice system considering it's location and size. My in-laws have it, and I've used it quite often.

Imagine what Blue Ridge could do with Just 5 million customers.

Congratulations! Now if you wish you can watch AMCs hit show, Mad Men in HD if you wish, something those with the so called ‘HD Leader’ can’t do. And I bet you still have Tru TV HD even though there’s no more tournament games on it. The Outdoor Channel was one of the first HD channels ever launched, I’m surprised the ‘HD leader’ doesn’t offer it.

If they had more customers and spread out to more states, then I can tell you what it would be like. See comcast, TW, ect. They would most likely have the same problems any national cable company would have.
They would be great in some areas, subpar in others.

Actually I care. It's always nice to see an MSO that lays the beat down on Dish Network (the douche) and DirecTV (the turd). Whether I can get it or not in my area is irrelevant, I still enjoy reading about it.

I am not backing up Direct nor am I criticizing your choice. I am simply stating that the information is not useful to us since this is not an option for us. I am glad it is for you. Looks like your cable is better than the one in my area

I am also not backing D* in this case, although I will say they are better for me than the other options I have available. So I will enjoy them. With no ill will towards you.

I did say that your cable company would have the same problems as the nationals IF they had the same footprint and sub base as the nationals (after you raised the question.) I think that is a fair assessment. Correct?
