I now have two devices which my iPhone 8 plus cannot see a bluetooth connection on: a bike computer (a minor irritation), and my 2016 Chevy Cruze. The ChevyLink is no where to be found. CarPlay works fine, but that is connected by a cable.

The bike computer has a utility app, and it alerted me to the fact that there is no bluetooth 4.0 device, and thus, no ability to connect to the bike computer. I am thinking the exact same thing is happening with the hardware in the Chevy. ChevyLink is probably programmed to expect a BT 4.0 connection, and not seeing it.

Either this is a problem with the BT device OR Apple has NOT really made its BT radio downward compatible. I'm now thinking it is a problem on Apple's part.

I just tried to connect my Amazon Echo to my iPhone 8 plus. Nope. Doesn't see the Echo.

Anyone else experiencing loss of BT devices?

Both my wife’s and my iPhone 8 Plus connects just fine to the BT in her 2012 Fusion and my 2015 Sierra. Very odd to hear that it won’t connect to your Cruze.

Both of those are FORD and not CHEVY. Different software.

With three distinct devices not connecting, I either have a bad BT radio (but it works fine for my watch and air pods) or there is a problem with Apple's downward compatibility OR multiple providers are having problems.

Do you have an Amazon Echo? Can you pair it?

75 minutes on the phone with Apple Support, and a factory reset, and I now have CarLink, and Alexa working. The only thing that isn't working is the bike computer, but I expected that. Now restoring stuff, again.

All issues are resolved. Software updates on the Wahoo Bike computer and speed/cadence sensor did the trick. Everything seems to be working now.
