I am getting word of the following changes happening at Cablevision.

As of 11/2 the iO silver package is changing for new customers, it will no longer include HBO and will be replaced by showtime. Also the new rates for next year are as follows

Family cable is going up $3 to $55.95
iO Digital package is up $1 to $11.95
iO Silver is up $4 to $79.95
iO Gold is up $4 to $99.95

A la carte programming is all increasing by $1 if you subscribe by 11/2, otherwise HBO is going up $3 to $14.95

cable box w/remote will increase by .20 to $6.95.

Customers with Silver iO with HBO will continue to receive HBO.

Well at least they give their subs ample time to plan their escape to another provider.

What burns me about price increases that they always seem to happen after you subscribe to something that requires your commitment. i.e., NHLCI or NBA League Pass.

No way you are getting a refund for those if you switch to avoid unwarranted price increases.
