Same here, I admit over the last couple of decades I have slowly went to other places(thanks to the WWW). I used to get their catalogs before internet was wide spread and flip through the pages. I have ordered a lot from them in years past. Same with AES, I used to order more from them then HRO. I still order a lot from R&L. It seems R&L is a little less known these days.

Seems like HRO is now the only option. I'd been using AES since I was a teen in the 60s, but it had declined to the point of being useless here in Milwaukee. Finally closed, and HRO bought the storefront and opened here. It was a vast improvement, and worth dropping by again.

Spongella,

Your post reminded me, when I was a kid in the 6o's Lafayette or as it was better know as "Laugh At It" had a store front, in all places - Salem, Oregon. I bought several SW radios there...ah the memories
