the idiots took money from my account even after an install was never started ( i never signed an agreement)? what kind of low lifes subtract funds for services not rendered (i canceled the service because of the price b4 it was even started)? then they have the nerve of sayin that i have an outstanding bill of 300+ bucks..... umm time to get he cops involved i think

Umm you agreed to have them withdraw money from your account when you signed up. Just call them and ask them to refund your money. If they refuse to then you should file a BBB complaint or something.

i never signed up.... the tech that was telling me the final fees would be over 400 bucks never got anything else out of his mouth, i said cancel the install now & hung up with the moron... plain & simple its theft, not bbb related its more along the lines of theft

the fact being the moron got some cash that wasnt his & he wasnt authorised to get, theft... if he was in my house the morgue woulda been called.... now i gotta go thru legal channels to get my cash... his bad day

So you signed up before you checked on the price? Do you also fill your gas tank before you check to see if you have money to pay for it? Im sure a polite call to Directv would straighten things out. If not, then dispute the charge if its on a credit card. If its your checking account, then talk to them. The police have no business in this. You gave them your financial info for the purpose of payment. It was simply a mistake.

lmao im not sure they have enuf common sense to straighten it out, yes the price was originally talked about with th reps (who blew smoke up ur rear end)... the idiot on the fone decided to deduct cash in a 20 second fone call..... theft

LOL; how did you not know the prices or the terms? How did they get your account information without you providing it? Sorry, but it sounds like you knew and agreed to everything that was happening and why; THEN changed your mind after the fact although before the installer date but they had already processed whatever it was you all agreed to; maybe money upfront for deposit, credit reasons or extra items added beyond free, but something tells me we aren't getting the ENTIRE story (no surprise) and its not worth arguing over here. Call them back, act civil and you will get your hard earned money back. They don't just withdraw funds without reasons or agreements. Period

How did they get your account numbers to withdraw if you didn't already authorize service ?

their reps gave the price (at a sams)... 30 bucks / month first year after discounts free install no equipment to buy or lease 69 after initial year..... dtv on fone said 99 after the year so the service never got installed or even started 350 up front in a 20 second fone call in which the card was given the 350 was mentioned after the fact & the money wasnt taken until over 48 hrs after the fone call the service was canceled 2 days b4 the deductions were taken out.... an over zellous tech took the inital payment since he "thought we were getting the service"... according to the cops its a dirty practice (at worst a cyber crime) especially since we had no contract... money to be back in 3 days.... bunch of thieves, 20 seconds to take it 3 days to get it back.... any one of u guys care to leave ur doors open for me to come in & mistakenly "borrow" 100 from u then give it back (at my leisure) after i use it to gain intrest in my account? i figure after 20 million "mistakes" i may have a lucrative business (now i need 20 million ppl that i can make the "mistake" with)

You signed up at Sam's ..... and got NO Paperwork with it stating pricing and contracts info ?
Did you read the contract or just decide to go with it ?

The part of the money being taken 48 hours before the installation doesn't sound right.

If you set up service with Sam's, why did you call D* after to get another one set up (thats what it sounds like anyways).

An Over Zealous Tech (was this who (the installer ?)
You talked with a third CSR ? maybe ?

If it was an installer, he DIDN'T take your Credit Card or have anything to do with the money your talking about.
I don't think the Installers would carry anything to take an electronic transfer.

Way too many discrepancies here...

What really happened ?

In the past my experience is that techs dont deal with the payment/money part of the service?

Sent from my iPhone using SatelliteGuys!!

We are missing several pieces of the puzzle here.

No.....cant be so...

Im going to go on a limb and say it didnt happen, not because I dont think D* would ever do that, things obviously happen. The whole thread just doesnt smell right.

pink passion???

More likely it is....

It's hard to be taken seriously when you can't write like an adult.

ok for the miniscule of mind, this is the detailed story... reps at sams for dtv gave a quote... they called dtv who i assume was a tech to set up an install.... in the process the card was given to them for the free HD promo.... he started quoting a completly different second year price 30 bucks higher & telling me that the equipment (supposed to be free) 1 hd dvr 1 hd reciever 2 sd recievers will cost 350+ (i dont remember the exact figure) dollars (this figure was also told to me that it was the outstanding bill) ... at this point in time i said i didnt need it for that price since i was quoted a different price, click.... 2 days later they charge my card... in short they lost a customer b4 they ever got one & charged for services not rendered... nothing was signed neither was their any contract brought out of the store by me nor do they have any signed contract on record from me
