It (was?) a public broadcaster that provided programming by and for non-profits, at no charge to those non-profits. Guess they ran out of money. Can't imagine they ever had much of an audience.

I have watched it once in awhile. I will miss it. Think it will be replaced by any other channel?
Starfish was also on ch. 269. I think the spanish channel Mun2 will replace it on 269. Because if you look at last weeks uplink report you'll see Mun2 uplinked to 269.

269 - MUN2 [MPEG2 SD] added to EchoStar11 110W TP 09 ConUS beam (NA)
269 - MUN2 [MPEG4 SD] added to EchoStar8 77W TP 29 ConUS beam (NA)

This channel was occasionally useful for 129 testing purposes. I have a Dish 1000 with a mpeg 2 receiver so this was one of the only english channels I could receive off that sat. I couldn't stand it for more than 5 minutes though. :D

suspending service

Is my 722 starting to go out?
