I was checking out my girlfriends Hd setup and I noticed she had both the cable out and the component video cables going into the back of the tv. She is using an explorer HD box that has no hdmi. I was wondering if this is hurting the tv, its a pretty nice panasonic plasma. I am going to remove the cable and just use the component video for her. I was just wondering if this was damaging anything?

It's highly doubtful that she was damaging anything by using provided connection points. Now, if she was connecting her cable line to a wall outlet, then that would be a different story.

Comcast for cheaper. (if you can't get triple play)
