Cable-television companies lost more subscribers in the second quarter than they have in almost two years as customers switched to satellite TV. Comcast the largest cable operator and its next three biggest competitors lost 229 000 subscribers in the April-June quarter. DirecTV Group Inc. and EchoStar Communications Inc. the two largest U.S.
