caller ID

Hello, I'm new
I have a 722K and a 922, today I hooked up a phone line to the 722...the phone rang and I got "caller ID" on the 722. Unfortunately the 922 did not register the caller ID. So I unplugged the 722 and called myself and still no caller ID on the 922...any ideas.....?

also, you could try, disable then enable caller-id. have to do that once in a while on my 722k

We had a 625 DVR that wouldn't show caller ID no mater how we set it up. Some posts I found on this problem said Dish sometimes claims this is caused by a grounding problem. Funny that when we upgraded to a 722K that the caller ID magically started working.

Phone modems in the receivers usually seem kinda iffy, especially if connected via phonex. I just tell people that it should work, but sometimes it may not. It's outside my paygrade to ask why.
