I have a captiveworks 600s and a viewsat vs2000 that worked great some years back and was wondering if they would still work with or without an update. They worked great in the past and i moved and put them in storage and i just recently rediscovered them and how much i enjoyed my hobby. Please help.

Best advice? Throw them in the trash, they're ancient.

There's only 1 single satellite they'll work on anymore, and it's full of foreign programming you won't likely want to watch.

Those receivers will pick up some programming, mostly on 97W. If you have a 90cm dish and standard linear LNBF you should be good to go. There is a handful of English religious and foreign channels. At least you'll know the system is working.
