CBS Cancels late show

The Electoral College was established to ensure big states did not run roughshod over the smaller.
Yep, and our country has been screwed for 50 years because of it! So happy Wyoming has the same amount of say that California has. And when it comes to dark money it isnt brutal for those billionaires that love to throw money around to make laws to they can pollute and make laws that save them billions!

It was fine when we had a few colonies and a few states. And slavery was cool! Kinda like a person having 3/5th of a vote....should we have that also? And get those women from stopping to vote on top of it! See how easy that is?

There should be a like thread in the pit, I'm not a dweller and can't and don't want to see it, but take it there please...
Already is, the same member posting political stuff here, is already doing the same there.

But I will, once again, make the point that the show is losing $40-50 Million a year, canceling it was not political, just bad timing, due to Colbert's contract expiring next year.

When Kimmel, Meyers, Fallon's contracts are up, those shows will also be canceled ( if not sooner), they all lose money, which will continue to get worse, due to the switch over to streaming services, not politics.

Debating why the show was cancelled, cost, politics, both, whatever to me is not political. But talking about losing with 7.5 million votes or changing the Constitution to remove the Electoral College? Cmon, should have been deleted has ZERO relation to the thread and invites more politics.

Money of course played a role, but many including the NYT critic, MSNBC, Adam Schiff, and many more question that. The Writers Guild of America wants an investigation into if it was political...

So no, I do not just think it was over money.
Lower ratings, cost, paying huge sums for what people say on the air all contributed in my opinion. CNN has let go on air people over some of the same, lower ratings, cost, what people say on the air that can be litigated.
I make no claim if it is right or wrong just that's how it appears.
