CBS Announces Fall 2015 Premiere Dates for Supergirl, Hawaii Five-0, The Good Wife, and More https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/cbs-announces-fall-2015-premiere-190600291.html Summer hasn't even officially begun, but it's already time to start planning your fall viewing schedules. CBS is first out of the gate this year in terms of networks announcing premiere dates for fall programming, and once again, thanks to the addition of Thursday Night Football to the network's lineup, we're looking at a few weeks' worth of rollouts. The fall season officially kicks off (that's a technical term for those unfamiliar with football) on Thursday, September 17 at 8:25pm when the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs, but pre-game programming will begin at 7:30pm. Everything else a.k.a. the good stuff, doesn't debut until the following week, when on Monday, September 21, the new season of The Big Bang Theory officially launches the network's scripted programming slate at 8pm, followed by the new family comedy Life in Pieces at 8:30pm. The new seasons of Scorpion and NCIS: Los Angeles then follow at 9pm and 10pm, respectively. And here's where it gets tricky, because CBS's brand new series Supergirl launches itself into your TV sets behind an all-new episode of The Big Bang Theory on Monday, October 26 at 8:30pm, before moving to its regular timeslot of Mondays at 8pm on Monday, November 2.Leroy Jethro Gibbs and the rest of the NCIS team still anchor the network's Tuesday night lineup. Season 13 premieres Tuesday, September 22 at 8pm. Season 2 of NCIS: New Orleans airs at 9pm and leads into the the series premiere of the new drama Limitless, with a special appearance by Bradley Cooper, at 10pm.The 90-minute Season 31 premiere of Survivor will debut Wednesday, September 23, followed by the 90-minute season finale of the summer reality show Big Brother at 9:30pm. Starting the following week on Wednesday, September 30, Season 11 of Criminal Minds will take over the 9pm slot, followed by the new medical drama Code Black at 10pm.Thursdays will be reserved for football until November 5, when The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursday nights at 8pm. The comedy Life in Pieces will also make the move and hope to retain the long-running comedy's audience at 8:30pm. Meanwhile, the third season of Mom premieres at 9pm and leads into the new Maggie Lawson/Jane Lynch comedy Angel From Hell at 9:30pm. Season 4 of Elementary, now with more John Noble, will then debut at 10pm.Season 27 of The Amazing Race kicks off the network's Friday night programming on Friday, September 25 at 8pm, followed by Hawaii Five-0 at 9pm and Blue Bloods at 10pm.On Sunday, September 27, a 90-minute edition of 60 Minutes (insert mindblown emoji here) will lead into the two-hour series finale of CSI at 9pm. The new seasons of Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, and CSI: Cyber will debut the following week on Sunday, October 4 beginning at 8pm.Now, here's all of that confusing mess in a handy, easy-to-read list format (new shows are in ALL CAPS):

Hawaii Five-0 Casts Sarah Carter as Steve's GF — What About Catherine? https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/hawaii-five-0-casts-sarah-211051716.html
On the heels of Falling Skies airing its series finale, Sarah Carter has booked a recurring arc on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 — in a role that casts a pall on a certain island romance. Our sister site Deadline reports that Carter will play Lynn, a nature enthusiast who stumbles upon some trouble whilst on an adventurous date with Alex O’Loughlin’s Steve McGarrett. That, of course, raises questions about how things will (or won’t) progress for Steve and Catherine (played by Michelle Borth), who had a warmish if awkward reunion in the Season 5 finale, when she returned to Hawaii after bailing on her love a year prior to fight the good fight in Afghanistan.“We play that [Steve/Catherine] uncertainty in the first couple episodes,” Five-0 showrunner Peter M. Lenkov told TVLine during our Fall Preview Q&A. He added: “There’s a big change that’s going to happen in their relationship.”Carter’s previous TV credits include DirecTV’s Rogue, CSI: NY, Dirty Sexy Money and Shark.

Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Promo Features Pirates, Prisoners... and a Proposal? http://tvline.com/2015/09/03/hawaii-five-0-season-6-promo-pirates-steve-catherine-proposal/
Hawaii Five-0‘s Season 6 premiere is one to… treasure, based on this exclusive look at the first promo. The CBS drama’s Friday, Sept. 25 opener — titled ”Mai ho`oni i ka wai lana mâlie” (“Do Not Disturb the Water That Is Tranquil”) — is “loosely based on a legend that pirates attacked the island in the 1880s,” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov told TVLine as part of our Fall Preview Q&A, “so we actually open up the season seeing that pirate attack in a flashback. It’s our version of Pirates of the Caribbean, where pirates are attacking the palace and the streets of Waikiki. And that sort of launches us into a modern-day treasure hunt for what they had stolen.”

Hawaii Five-0 First Look: McGarrett plans to pop the question http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/11/hawaii-five-0-mcgarrett-catherine-proposal
Could wedding bells be ringing this season on Hawaii Five-0?When the CBS series returns, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) plans to ask Catherine (Michelle Borth) for her hand in marriage — and EW has a first look at the ring. But between Sarah Carter coming in as a new love interest and Borth only slated to stick around for a handful of episodes, that begs the question whether the outcome will be a happy one.“Boiling him down, McGarrett is a warrior with a huge heart,” executive producer Peter Lenkov tells EW. “From our first season, Catherine has stolen that heart and now he’s ready to take that major leap in their relationship six years later. It’s probably one of the bravest things this soldier has ever done. And yes, you may have heard that Sarah Carter is coming in as Lynn, a nature lover with whom McGarrett goes on a wild adventure. Let’s just say that it’s going to be a busy fall for our head of Five-0.”

Esai Morales Cops Blue Bloods Role http://tvline.com/2015/08/25/blue-bloods-season-6-esai-morales/
Onetime NYPD Blue lawman Esai Morales will again wield a shield on Blue Bloods.TVLine has learned that the actor — who most recently was seen as The Brink‘s POTUS and joins From Dusk Till Dawn tonight as a crime lord — will guest-star in a late fall episode of the CBS procedural as Delgado, a charismatic NYPD sergeant who has a plan to increase the accuracy of police statistics by seeking the opinions of city youth, and thus earns a promotion from commish Frank Reagan. The fly in the ointment? Seems that Delgado may be hiding some sordid behavior that could cause his image to lose some luster.I shall always favorably remember Morales from his turn as Bad Boys‘ Paco, while his myriad TV credits include Criminal Minds, Magic City, 24, Vanished and Caprica.

‘Blue Bloods’ Scoop: Anthony Edwards to Guest Star https://www.yahoo.com/tv/blue-bloods-anthony-edwards-129280752875.html
After guesting on Girls earlier this year as Shoshanna’s father, former ER star Anthony Edwards is set to make an appearance on CBS’s Blue Bloods this fall. He’ll play Owen Cairo, a stolid, square man whose life is turned upside down when his prized possession, the 1968 Mustang allegedly driven by Steve McQueen in the movie Bullitt, goes missing. He sends Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) on the trail of the beautiful young wife he suspects arranged for the theft — and the race is on to both recover the car and uncover the motives that led to its disappearance. The episode will most likely air in November.“We offered [the role] to Anthony, our first choice, because he’s a terrific actor with an innate talent for drawing empathy and relatability from the audience,” executive producer Kevin Wade tells Yahoo TV in a statement. “We are thrilled that he’s joining us for this story.”Season 6 of Blue Bloods premieres Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

Hawaii Five-0 Season 6: Bromance, Romance, 'Frankenstein' and More http://tvline.com/2015/09/23/hawaii-five-0-season-6-preview-steve-danny-catherine/
When last we tuned into CBS’ Hawaii Five-0, Steve and Danny had just saved the island from nuclear catastrophe (even if it put a crimp in Kamekona’s sales), all whilst on their way to Kono’s wedding to Adam. As a last wrinkle in a wild finale, Chin Ho was ominously confronted by his onetime bro-in-law Gabriel, just as the ceremony was to begin. With Season 6 arriving Friday at 9/8c, TVLine presents our near-complete Q&A with showrunner Peter M. Lenkov, who previews a treasure hunt, a humourous couples retreat, Halloween horror and more.

Hawaii Five-0: Answers to 5 Burning Questions About Season 6 https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/hawaii-five-0-answers-5-burning-questions-season-234900060.html
Island life is about to get pretty interesting on Hawaii Five-0 this season. On the heels of Kono (Grace Park) and Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) taking their relationship to the next level at the end of Season 5 (or ... did they?), the rest of the Five-0 crew will be enmeshed in their own personal and romantic entanglements in Season 6.And, as if that weren't enough, the season kicks off with a "huge action-adventure tale" in which the team's investigation leads them to an ancient legend, according to showrunner Peter Lenkov. "It's a modern-day pirate treasure hunt with flashbacks to help tell the origin of it all," Lenkov says.TVGuide.com chatted with Lenkov to get scoop on what's ahead in the upcoming episodes, as well as answers to five burning questions we were left with after last season's finale.

CSI: NY vet A.J. Buckley is returning to the Big Apple, with a visit to Blue Bloods.TVLine has learned that Buckley — whose more recent TV credits include Murder in the First and Justified — will guest-star on the CBS drama as Sgt. Mulvey, Jamie’s superior at a hostage scene.Alas, Mulvey rubs young Reagan the wrong way when he barges into the scene, refusing to follow proper protocol and thus putting lives at risk. This, we later learn, marks a pattern for Mulvey, who has a compelling reason for such behavior.Buckley’s credits also include episodes of Narcos, Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist and Supernatural, and a guest spot on NBC’s upcoming midseason drama Rush Hour.Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10/9c; Buckley’s episode will likely air in November.

CBS summer series Zoo has been renewed for a second season, the network announced on Friday.Zoo stars James Wolk as a young American zoologist, who begins to notice the strange behavior of the animals, leading to a wave of violent animal-on-human attacks across the globe.“Zoo’s thrilling stories clicked with audiences each week during a very competitive summer,” said Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment. “We’re excited for viewers to see where our talented writers and cast take them as the adventure continues to unfold during season two in the ultimate fight of man vs. beast.”Zoo debuted in June to 8.18 million viewers and a 1.2 in the 18–49 demographic, ending its season with 4.81 million viewers and 0.9 in the rating.

Has Big Bang Theory Cast New Love Interests for Sheldon and Amy? https://www.yahoo.com/tv/s/big-bang-theory-cast-love-215405497.html
The CBS comedy has cast Stephen Merchant (Hello Ladies) and Analeigh Tipton (Manhattan Love Story) as Season 9 guest stars, TVLine has confirmed. While the network would not confirm who Merchant and Tipton will be playing, reports from audience members who attended the taping of Episode 9 suggest they’ll appear as respective dates for the recently broken-up Amy and Sheldon.Tipton — who just recently guested on CBS’ Limitless (alongside her Manhattan Love Story costar, Jake McDorman) — cameo’d on Big Bang seven years ago, as herself, in an America’s Next Top Model-related storyline. The actress got her start, of course, as a contestant on the CW’s mannequin-tastic reality show.

The Big Bang Theory Is Going To Reveal Sheldon's Big Secret http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Big-Bang-Theory-Going-Reveal-Sheldon-Big-Secret-95067.html
A big focus for The Big Bang Theory this season has been the aftermath of Sheldon and Amy’s big break-up, which was kicked off at the end of Season 8 when Amy said she needed some time. At the time, we learned that Sheldon had already gotten an engagement ring for his longtime partner. Months and months later, The Big Bang Theory is finally going to let the cast in on Sheldon’s big secret. Following Monday’s episode, CBS has released the official logline for next weeks’ big episode “The Spock Resonance.” While the episode will feature a few guest stars—Stephen Merchant, Wil Wheaton and Adam Nimoy—along with a Star Trek plotline, the main event should be this:
