This is through Shaw. I said I already had a receiver and a dish and he said that all new customers have to buy a receiver through them. Then he wanted to set up installation time. I tried to be vague about it saying my schedule was funky so I wanted to call back to schedule. Then I asked about mailing the receiver, and he said that the installer would bring it. So I was getting worried. Finally go him to mail the receiver, but it's going to the address I gave, which thankfully I know the person and they will mail it to me. Then I called the activation line to activate the receiver that I already bought, and she said that if she activated it before I had the other one, I would lose a free month (which he never even told me I was getting) and I would lose the free receiver. So I may call customer service back to see if there is a way to skip the free month and free receiver and just use the one that I have.
As for the phone, I called myself from my landline, and picked it up and had a conversation with myself. The call quality to Shaw was perfect. I called back and let it ring. And it said the person is not available. Please leave a message. It took a bit, but it did show the voice mails.
